Intern, Data Solutions & Analytics

Work location:  Kowloon Bay

Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing and implementing data models and pipelines.
  • Help maintain and optimize data warehouse environments (e.g., ETL processes, data quality, and monitoring)
  • Learn to build interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g., Power BI).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into data visualizations.
  • Participate in data architecture discussions and contribute ideas on best practices.
  • Support data governance and metadata management tasks.
  • Engage in exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies.
  • Assist with statistical modelling, forecasting, or machine learning under the guidance of senior analysts.
  • Document your work in a clear, structured manner.
  • Present findings and recommendations to team leads and business users.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of SQL or other database querying methods.
  • Familiarity with ExcelPython, or R for data manipulation and basic analysis.
  • Exposure to data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
  • Understanding of data cleansingdata wrangling, and data validation concepts.
  • Awareness of data privacy and security considerations.
  • Strong attention to detail and a mindset for troubleshooting data-related issues.
  • Basic knowledge of statistical methodsmathematics, or machine learning concepts is an advantage.
  • Ability to break down complex problems into manageable tasks.
  • Good interpersonal skills to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to translate technical findings into clear business language.
  • Eagerness to learn from constructive feedback and share knowledge with peers.
